Project Steering Committee (PSC) will be responsible for strategic issues and decision making. It will be composed of one representative of key ministries in each participating country. A representative of the OSS will also participate in meetings of the Committee as an observer and will assume the role of secretariat. The PSC will provide a list of national institutions in the participating countries that will form the basic list for this project. The organization of the project workshops and meetings with the Steering Committee will, if possible, associated with the ministerial conferences in international forums (such as the Convention or UNFCCC COP or UNCBD). The Project Steering Committee will be responsible for the following:
- The validation of the annual action plan of the project (prepared by the OSS) and decision-making on activities to be funded on an annual basis and must be presented for non-objection to the Bank;
- The validation of decisions on the allocation of funds;
- Facilitate a process of communication through the OSS between national institutions;
- Review and validate the annual progress reports of regional projects.
